I was born in a small town on the coast of Oregon and spent my life there until going to Yale. My freshman year was spent on math and physics, which later translated into a math degree, but by the time I graduated, I'd transitioned to spending most of my time on music and photography.
The path I took winded through interests (fashion, photography, front-end development) until I hit upon user experience design. I didn't know there was a word for it before moving to San Francisco, but it was a common vain that ran through all of my work.
I have worked in user experience since 2011 (and the closely related product management).
